The Blue Note Revival
With the lofty goal of reviving the blues “one note at a time,” The Blue Note Revival is far from your typical acoustic act. Featuring guitarist/vocalist Nic Olas, guitarist Kenny Retzlaff, and percussionist Mickey Munoz, the group delivers a big sound with a small footprint. They are intimate enough for a listening room, yet lively enough to get toes tapping and hips moving.
Their music isn’t just for sitting back and reflecting. It’s built on rhythm and groove, inviting audiences to feel the pulse of the blues as much as they hear it. From Delta and Country to Gospel, Traditional, and modern Chicago and Memphis styles, they bring a fresh yet authentic energy to every performance.
Covering artists such as Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Taj Mahal, Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks, Keb’ Mo’, Son House, Big Bill Broonzy, Lightnin’ Hopkins, and B.B. King, The Blue Note Revival keeps the tradition alive and breathes new life into the blues, one note (and one groove) at a time.
